Arnold Schwarzenegger on His Kids: They Can Have Any Job as Long as Theyre Passionate

After admitting his divorce from Maria Shriver is the biggest regret of his life, Arnold Schwarzenegger is again opening up — this time about his kids.

In a recent interview, the 67-year-old gushed he’s extremely proud of his children and supports whatever career path they want to take as long as they’re “passionate” about their work.

“I don’t care if they’re a plumber, if they’re a writer or if they’re a teacher, whatever they want to do, as long as they’re passionate,” he said of his four kids with Maria: Katherine, 25, Christina, 23, Patrick, 21, and Christopher, 17.

During his sit-down with Howard Stern on the shock jock’s radio show, the Terminator Genisys star additionally dished on his relationship with his 17-year-old son Joseph, whom he fathered with his family’s former housekeeper, Mildred Baena, while married to Maria, 59.

“It’s fantastic… [Joseph is] terrific and he totally understands the situation. So, it all has worked out… It’s a very tough situation for him. It’s a very tough situation for my kids, very tough situation for my family. It was tough for everybody. But it has happened and now we have to figure it out, right?” Arnold said on Wednesday, June 24.
